In The Islands

I wrote lyrics to my instrumental piece from today called "Art Of Banana"

Electronic / Reggae / Experimental

In The Islands
**********

In the islands where the turtles lay their eggs
in the islands of rum and lot of sex
in the islands where banana trees grow
in the islands where the winter says no

In Jamaica, in Bahamas
where theres booty on them mamas
in St Croix, in St Vincent
take it easy with the sun
under the Caribbean sun
drinking a pineapple rum

singing pirate songs
in a sailing boat
under coconuts
eating lobster rolls
in the burning sand
slowly turning tan
watching clouds go by
until its time to for night

and we dance
and we eat
drinking cocktails
all night
until sun rises up
oh i see it through my cup
as the money burns so fast
sacrificed like passing gas
for the unknown man on street
pushing you and all of me

to dance
in the islands
to live
in the islands

come on mon

and we dance
and we eat
drinking coctails
all night
until sun rises up
oh i see it through my cup
as the money burns so fast
sacrificed like passing gas
for the unknown man on street
pushing you and all of me

in the islands (repeat)

do not do the voodoo
it is all hoodoo
do not play with them bones
do not touch the cursed stone
or you might end up like a pirate
in the cave with no name
where the death never comes
no matter how you pray

in the islands (repeat)

and we dance
and we eat
drinking cocktails
all night
until sun rises up
oh i see it through my cup
as the money burns so fast
sacrificed like passing gas
for the unknown man on street
pushing you and all of me

to dance
in the islands
to live
in the islands

come on mon

to islands
